Polls confirm LNP support dropping

An extensive poll across Queensland last night confirmed that Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington, who has decided to jump on Labor’s lockdown plan, has lost further support.

The LNP was now polling at 31% and the Palaszczuk Government at 37%, the chairman of Clive Palmers’ United Australia Party, Clive Palmer, confirmed in Brisbane today.

“We need a new deal for Queenslanders, a new deal that delivers future growth, prosperity and jobs.

“It’s time that we opened our borders to states with zero or very low active cases of COVID-19,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“There are no active cases in South Australia, Tasmania, the ACT or Northern Territory and only four in WA.

“It’s time the Queensland Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington stopped supporting disastrous policies implemented by Labor which are destroying our economy.

“The mini budget released by the Labor Government fails to provide any hope, growth or employment prospects,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“It seems the Premier wants to blame the negative economic performance and increased debt solely on the virus and not her government.

“Labor is negative, they offer no drive and brightness of future. The Premier is only interested in votes and being re-elected for four years.

“She is hoping that JobKeeper and JobSeeker provided by the Federal Government protects her.

“Politicians should be working for the people not themselves.

This Labor governments destroying the livelihoods of millions of people,’’ Mr Palmer said
