Shorten doesn’t care about Aussie workers

Federal Leader of the United Australia Party, Clive Palmer, says Bill Shorten’s plan to boost foreign workers’ wages showed how little the Labor leader cared about everyday Australians.

“Why pay overseas workers more than Australian workers?” Mr Palmer said.

“The plan should be to pay Australian workers more.

“Bill Shorten doesn’t care about Australians. He didn’t care about them when he was a unionist and he will care even less for them if he was to become Prime Minister,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“What we need is more enterprise in Australia. With greater productivity, all workers will benefit.

“We need more jobs, which the United Australia Party will deliver with downstream processing and other initiatives.

“Australians deserve more. Make Australia great,’’ Mr Palmer said.
