Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull should delay any cabinet reshuffle while his ministers continued to drop like flies, leader of the Palmer United Party, Clive Palmer, said in Canberra today.

“First it was Jamie Briggs then Mal Brough and now it is Stuart Robert. We have also learned today that there is a cloud over Christopher Pyne and Wyatt Roy. When will it end?” Mr Palmer said.

“The Prime Minister still has a cabinet with one the lowest ratios of women in the world. This is despite the fact that in Parliament yesterday he told the world how talented the Liberal women on the backbench were.

“He needs to appoint some of them to save his government from the old boys’ club attitude that prevails in the Liberal Party which has robbed Australia of its finest and best,’’ he said.

“First Tony Abbott refused point blank to allow a woman to lead the Liberal Party. Now the Prime Minister refuses to appoint talented women to the ministry despite the continued failure of his ministers to meet ministerial standards,’’ Mr Palmer said.
