Labor Has No Idea When It Comes To Farmers
The Federal Leader of the United Australia Party Mr Clive Palmer said this afternoon that Labor has no idea how to support farmers in desperate need.
Today the Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk outlined $8 million in funding to support mental health and financial counselling services of drought stricken farmers.
“The Premier needs to allocate immediate funding for cattle food. Why spend money on financial counselling if you have no money.
“Our farmers are in desperate need of food stock and money.
“What’s needed immediately is financial support to keep these good men and women going.
“Annastacia Palaszczuk has never spent any meaningful time with drought stricken farmers. However, she can find money easily when she needs to give to a city electorate facing defeat.
“Our farmers are sick of her lip service. This drought is devasting and farmers need direct support in food for their stock, not financial counselling.
This afternoon our United Australia Party members have done a whip around and we will donate 500 bales of hay immediately.
“We challenge both Liberal and Labor parties to do the same,” Mr Palmer said.
“Farmers are desperate for immediate help, not long term packages outlined by the Queensland Premier,” said Mr Palmer.
