Federal Leader of the United Australia Party Mr Clive Palmer said now Julia Gillard and Tony Abbott are one and the same following today’s development by the Opposition Leader to support the Medicare levy increase.
“There is no justification for increasing the levy,” Mr Palmer said.
“Abbott and Gillard are incompetent and this is resulting in this increase of the Medicare levy.
“They know no other solution than to increase taxes.
“When the United Australia Party takes government at the next federal election, any increase in the levy will be abolished.
“There is only one way to defeat Gillard and Abbott and that is by voting for the United Australia Party which seeks to unite all Australians regardless of their political views and for the benefit of the whole country.”
