Federal leader of the Palmer United Party and Member for Fairfax Clive Palmer has issued an apology to Prime Minister Tony Abbott over inadvertently using the term ‘suicide’ in a media interview this morning.
“In answering a journalist’s question immediately following my media conference this morning I inadvertently used the term ‘suicide’ with reference to the Prime Minister,’’ Mr Palmer said.
“I meant of course to say ‘political suicide’ and as such I apologise to Mr Abbott for any offence this misunderstanding may have caused.
Mr Palmer has issued an official letter of apology to Mr Abbott over the matter.
