Clive Palmer’s Fairfax electoral office in Maroochydore has been inundated with letters of appreciation following Mr Palmer’s generous distribution of his parliamentary salary to local charities and community organisations.
Recipients not only expressed their thanks, but in many cases also outlined what the funds would be used for.

“Financial help such as this assists in keeping the cost of meals down for our clients and allows us to maintain a safe and efficient environment for our volunteer workers. Mr Palmer said he was moved by the heartfelt correspondence from so many recipients.
“I’ve been truly touched by the responses we’ve received. The idea was to give some assistance to the community and hopefully the donations are doing just that,” Mr Palmer said.
In total, $117,700 was distributed to 164 charities, community organisations and worthy causes throughout the Fairfax electorate.
