Palmer United Party federal leader Clive Palmer has congratulated Glenn Lazarus on being elected to the Senate for Queensland.
Mr Palmer said Mr Lazarus is an outstanding Australian and the only player in the history of the National Rugby League to have won premierships with three difference clubs.
“Glenn is a wonderful family man, community leader and business operator,” Mr Palmer said.
“Three members of the Palmer United Party were elected to the senate at the federal election on September 7: Glenn Lazarus, Ms Lambie and Dio Wang.
“The Senate election results for the Palmer United Party are a tremendous achievement in our election debut,” he said.
“The Palmer United Party looks forward to working with the Abbott Government to get Australia back on track.”
