Former Liberal member for Frankston, Geoff Shaw has been endorsed by the United Australia Party as lead candidate for the Northern Victoria region in the Legislative Council for the upcoming Victorian election.
Mr Shaw has also been endorsed to be the Leader in the Upper House for the United Australia Party in Victoria.
Mr Shaw is a former Liberal Party member and independent politician. He is actively involved in the local community as a member of the Frankston RSL, Frankston Toastmasters and masters football clubs.
A happily married father of five, Mr Shaw ran his own accounting and financial planning practice for 20 years.
Mr Shaw has extensive knowledge in government legislation and politics.
He helped deliver a brand-new emergency ward to Frankston Hospital ($50M) and other community initiatives including, upgrading schools and community sporting facilities.
Mr Shaw was instrumental in growing the economy and profile of Frankston, including successfully advocating to the water minister the relocation of South East Water to Frankston.
“Additionally, throughout my career, I performed various strategic leadership roles in accounting and finance, financial planning, taxation, retail, wholesale, public and private service medical, marketing and directorships,’’ he said.
The United Australia Party is running candidates in all Victorian Upper House seats, vowing to deliver freedom to all Victorians.
