Liberals and Labor spreading misinformation: Palmer

Media release

Liberals and Labor spreading misinformation: Palmer

The Liberal-Labor alliance is trying to create controversy by spreading misinformation about the United Australia Party’s preference arrangements, said chairman Clive Palmer.

“As expected, the Liberals and Labor are trying to create controversy and peddle misinformation about us – most recently about our preference arrangements,” Mr Palmer said.

“To enable real change we have to change the government. The United Australia Party’s main goal is to see Craig Kelly elected as Prime Minister and have as many of our candidates elected to parliament as possible.

“We have already announced that our first preference will go to the Liberal Democrats, and are currently negotiating our second preference.

“However, we cannot finalise all our preferences until the candidates are known.

“Craig Kelly, the national executive and I considered our preference exchanges very carefully.

“One thing we unanimously agreed upon is to put the Liberals, Labor and the Greens at the bottom of our ticket in all electorates.

“Any suggestion to the contrary is completely false. There is no difference between the Liberals and Labor,” Mr Palmer said.

“While we admire the individual courage of MPs who have crossed the floor or supported Craig Kelly and his bills to throw out vaccine mandates, ban vaccine passports and protect our children, the Liberals, Labor, the Nationals and the Greens are oppressors of the people and must be removed from parliament at the next election.

“As Craig Kelly says, the whole political class has turned against the people. We know we can never trust the Liberals, Labor the Greens or Nationals again,” Mr Palmer said.

Palmer to challenge Andrews’ unconstitutional pandemic laws

Media release

Palmer to challenge Andrews’ unconstitutional pandemic laws

Chairman of the United Australia Party, Clive Palmer, has vowed to fight the Victorian Government’s contentious pandemic legislation in the courts, blasting them as draconian and undemocratic.

Daniel Andrews’ controversial new laws will come into effect from December 16 after passing Victoria’s upper house today, a move which should be deeply concerning for all Australians who value liberty and freedom, Mr Palmer said.

The laws give the government legal basis for lockdowns, mandatory mask wearing, vaccine mandates and curfews.

“These laws are unconstitutional and infringe the rights of all Australians. They are a major overaction and yet another sad reminder of the Andrews Government’s totalitarian approach,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“I would have no hesitation in mounting a court challenge to fight these laws. Discussions are already underway with my legal team,’’ Mr Palmer said.

Mr Palmer said only the United Australia Party was committed to protecting the values that have been built and developed in Australia since federation.

“We will be putting freedom over fear, liberty over lockdowns and choice over compulsion,’’ he said.

“Our party will protect the constitution and the rule of law, which underpins our democratic society and protects the rights, freedoms and liberties of every Australian citizen,’’ he said.

Removal of Folau clause latest blow for freedom of speech: Kelly

Media release

Removal of Folau clause latest blow for freedom of speech: Kelly

Federal leader of the United Australia Party, Craig Kelly MP, has blasted the Morrison Government for removing the so-called Folau clause from its religious discrimination bill, calling it yet another attack on freedom of speech.

“This is disgraceful legislation from an out of touch Prime Minister,’’ Mr Kelly said.

“People, regardless of their faith, should have the right to freedom of speech and should not be discriminated against because of their religious beliefs,’’ Mr Kelly said.

“The Prime Minister has bowed to pressure from the Greens and Labor, demonstrating once again his complete lack of leadership.”

The Folau clause preventing employers sanctioning employees for religious speech has been removed from the bill expected to be introduced into parliament this week.

It means there would be no legal protection to an individual if they had their employment terminated as a result of expressing their religious beliefs, such as what happened to rugby star Israel Folau when he was stripped of his $4 million contract in 2019.

“The United Australia Party stands to protect the values that have been built and developed in this country since federation,’’ Mr Kelly said.

We believe in the most basic freedoms of parliamentary democracy – freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom from fear, and freedom of association.

“This includes respect for our Constitution and the rule of law, which underpins our democratic society and protects the rights, freedoms and liberties of every Australian citizen,’’ he said.

Newman exchanges preferences with Palmer and Kelly

The extreme measures adopted by Annastacia Palaszczuk had caused former foes to come together to fight for freedom of choice and democracy, former Queensland Premier Campbell Newman said today.

United Australia Party Chairman Clive Palmer has confirmed that the United Australia Party would exchange preferences with the Liberal Democrats in the Senate and the House of Representatives at next year’s federal election.

“We can never trust the Liberals, Labor or The Greens again,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“Craig Kelly provides the best hope for all Australians to lead the country and I thank the Liberal Democrats for their support.”

Senate leader for the Liberal Democrats in Queensland, Mr Newman, said: “At this time of national crisis we need to end the Canberra nonsense and establish real leadership for Australia. We need to give back the freedom to choose, freedom of expression and freedom of speech.”

Mr Palmer and Mr Newman encourage all parties to come together to fight against the destruction of the lives and businesses of all Queenslanders, and recommend to their supporters that they back the United Australia Party and Liberal Democrats in any House of Representatives contests where either or both are standing.

United Australia Party grows membership to 80,000

Media release

United Australia Party grows membership to 80,000

The United Australia Party’s membership numbers have now topped 80,000, greatly exceeding the major parties, Clive Palmer announced today.

“Our party has now reached 80,000 members, making our base larger than that of Labor, the Liberals and the Greens.

“We now have the largest political party membership in Australia by a long way,’’ Mr Palmer said.

Recent reports show that the Liberal Party membership is 32,000 and dropping quickly while Labor was now down to 50,000.

“The number of Australians joining under the leadership of Craig Kelly is unprecedent in Australia’s history,’’ Mr Palmer said.

The United Australia Party will be contesting all 151 House of Representative seats and Senate positions across Australia.

Mr Palmer said the huge influx of members to the United Australia Party was a clear indication that Australian voters were fed up with the status quo of the major parties.

“Under the major parties, we are seeing families break up, the economy declining and an increase in mental health problems.

“At this time Australia needs a truly representative government, we need strong leadership and the United Australia Party is the only party that can achieve this,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“United Australia Party Leader Craig Kelly and myself have a strong resolve to justify the faith our supporters have shown.

“With a strong field of candidates and our many thousands of members behind us, we will do our very best to win the next Federal Election.

“Our nation is crying out for help and the time has come to stand up and make a difference. It is clear by huge numbers of people who have joined the United Australia Party in recent weeks that Australians are fed up and want to change and support our great country,’’ Mr Palmer said.

I call on all Australians who have had enough of the major parties who have led our nation into such chaos to go to the United Australia party’s website and join us in this fight.

“Let’s take a stand and get ready for the upcoming election because we can never trust the Liberals, Labor or The Greens again.

“Under United Australia Party leadership, we will grow our economy, we will return freedoms to all Australians and we will govern by listening to our citizens,’’ Mr Palmer said.

WA hospital crisis a result of vaccine: Palmer

WA hospital crisis a result of vaccine: Palmer

Western Australia’s hospital crisis is a result of mandatory vaccinations according to United Australia Party Chairman Clive Palmer.

“WA hospitals aren’t coping with patient levels and Premier Mark McGowan says he’s not sure why,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“The State’s health system is being inundated by patients with symptoms he can’t explain at a time he has accelerated his vaccine role out.

“There isn’t a COVID problem in WA and nothing else has changed so he needs to recognise the system failure of hospitals is a result of vaccines.

“The Premier knows we don’t have the required one, three or five-year safety data for the use of this vaccine on humans or animals, and there has been no testing on pregnant women,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“The rate of hospitalisations in WA is unprecedented. I call on the Prime Minister and all Premiers to stop mandatory vaccinations.

“How can they allow the forced rollout of a vaccine on the Australian public without safety data.  Do these politicians not remember the tragedies of Thalidomide, developed in the 1950s by German pharmaceutical company Grunenthal?

“The side effects resulted and thousands of cases of severe birth defects, miscarriages and other health problems.

“The Government is treating its citizens as guineapigs for the benefit of profits to large pharmaceutical companies who have been exempted of any future damages

“Australians can’t trust the Liberals, Labor or Greens again,’’ Mr Palmer said.

Queensland Government faces legal action over plans to create two-class society

Queensland Government faces legal action over plans to create two-class society

United Australia Party Chairman Clive Palmer said today the party’s lawyers had been instructed to commence legal action against the Queensland Government over its plans to create a two-class society.

“It is a matter of great concern that the Queensland Premier has announced that residents who have not been fully vaccinated will not be able to access restaurants, clubs, hotels and events,” Mr Palmer said.

“Annastacia Palaszczuk has brought in these unconstitutional laws under the guise of so-called emergency legislation.

“However, we don’t have a COVID emergency in Queensland. Her theories are merely hypothetical and the United Australia Party will challenge these restrictions in the Queensland Supreme Court or the High Court of Australia.

“These actions of malfeasance and discrimination will lead to a two-class society in Queensland,” he said.

Mr Palmer said that under the Premier’s unconstitutional measures, Queenslanders would continue to suffer financial losses.

“I will ensure these politicians and bureaucrats are held accountable for any losses and will legally make these individuals financially accountable for any damages,” Mr Palmer said.
