UAP welcomes Stuart King as candidate for Mallee and a lifetime local in the region.
Born in Swan Hill and raised on a wheat farming property to 3rd generation farming parents, Stuart is a former wheat & sheep farmer, a Civil Engineer by trade, and now an equipment hire business owner in Swan Hill with 10 employees. He now also enjoys his responsibility as an elected councillor in the Rural City of Swan Hill.
He relishes strong community engagement with volunteer roles on numerous business and farming representative boards and organisations including Landcare, Victorian Farmers Federation, Swan Hill Chamber of Commerce plus sporting and community organisations.
Stuart says: “I’m passionate about regional and rural Australia and the massive contribution that small family businesses make to this nation. I love the Australian ethos of ‘the Aussie battler having a go’ and the exciting opportunities that Australia once provided.”
“I believe this nation has lost its way. Excessive foreign ownership of our assets, loss of our manufacturing and production industries and the Covid digital identity vaccine passport threaten our freedom, our democracy and our very existence,” Stuart said.
He is one to watch out for in Mallee.
