Stella has lived in the Perth metropolitan area for several years including Bibra Lake. Her husband was born and raised in North Fremantle and she has other family members living in the surrounding areas.

Stella has also lived in the Kimberley, Pilbara and Bunbury areas in her capacity as an educational leader and teacher for 34 years which has given her a deep appreciation of the diversity of local communities and their unique and pressing needs.

She has been a school principal for nine years in a disadvantaged area where she has served some of the most vulnerable children in Australia.

Stella has always believed in students leading full lives and being prepared for the future in a changing world by developing, nurturing and empowering them to achieve their full potential, improving their academic achievements, becoming resilient and contributing to a prosperous Australia and further afield.

Being a principal has allowed Stella to not only make innovative and award-winning educational changes but has also given her opportunity and privilege to work with the whole school community and include everyone in the process.

As the UAP’s Fremantle candidate, Stella’s aim is to listen, to understand and to serve.
