Rosetta was born in Darlinghurst, the daughter of Italian migrants. She attended St Mary’s all private girls’ school for both her primary and secondary education in Liverpool, New South Wales. She was raised in a working class family and worked in the family business both growing up and after she left school.
She lived in the Liverpool area until she was 26. She has fond memories of her time there and loved the fact that her extended family lived very close by. Soon after, she married and continued to work together with her husband in their own family business.
Marie is the mother of three daughters and grandmother of two grandchildren. She lived in Camden on a rural property for 35 years where she raised her daughters. She now lives with her husband and two of her daughters in Menangle, in the Wollondilly area.
She studied Children Services and Special Needs, which is where she found her passion. She worked for many years in children’s education, both with neurotypical children and with children with special needs.
Marie is of Christian faith, and her beliefs have a direct impact on her actions. According to Marie, “I have helped and served people through my work, church community and my children’s school by doing acts of charity. I’ve also volunteered throughout my life and still continue to do so.”
