Julie is a wife and mother to three sons, living in her beloved area of Leeton. For the past 21 years, Julie have been a teacher both privately and with the New South Wales Department of Education.
Julie was terminated from her position in November 2021 due to vaccine mandates and as a result, decided to fight against the mandates by taking on the NSW Health Minister, Brad Hazzard, in the Supreme Court.
Although the case was dismissed, Julie received an overwhelming amount of support from thousands of fellow educators across the country, igniting a desire to enter the political arena.
“With the support I received from my fellow colleagues, together with the unconditional support of her family, I decided to make a stand and run as candidate for Farrer,” she said.
“I can no longer idly standby as our freedoms are torn away from us and our constitutional rights ripped from us.”
If elected, Julie will fight to ensure all workers affected by the mandates return to work.
“It will be my personal mission to see that the thousands of teachers whose employment was terminated as a result of the mandates get their jobs back,” she said.
