James Savoulidis was born and raised in Canberra, the heart of the nation. As a young one, he enjoyed what most growing boys do, freedom. The freedom to dig holes, eat bugs, ride his bike, and play Nintendo.
For school he attended Daramalan College where he fell in love with the sport of basketball and hasn’t looked back since. He has played on and off for the past 20 years and has consistently coached many teams each season during that stretch.
In 2015 he started his own basketball club, The Canberra City Stallions. After fielding just 11 teams their first season, they managed to grow to 50 teams in 2018 and have fielded 50 or more every season since. They are now one of the strongest basketball clubs in Canberra.
Though basketball is still very much his number one love, he now turns his attention to politics to fight for the very same freedom he was afforded growing up. James Savoulidis is here to save Australia.
