I was born in Maleny and was raised on dairy farms with my three siblings. We felt the heart-breaking devastation of the Deregulation Laws and GST introduced by the Liberal Party which spiked my interest in politics and made me more aware of who was running our country. The impact of these changes saw Dayboro go from a prospering 36 Dairy Farm town to now just one dairy farm.
After our farm closed, I completed my schooling and a traineeship in Children’s Services. My love for children has been a massive motivator to upskill and educate myself of the problems families and children are facing. In 2011 I moved to the UK where I continued to work with children and families. I travelled through Europe where I was exposed to the reality of what some countries are facing and came to appreciate how lucky we are with the freedom we have in Australia.
Upon returning home to Australia, I continued to advocate for vulnerable children and working-class families. They are the backbone of our country and without them our beautiful country would not exist.
