Liberals Fooling Lambie: Clive Palmer

Media release

The Liberals had released bogus Tasmanian polling results to fool Jacqui Lambie into supporting changes to Senate voting, according to federal leader of the Palmer United Party, Clive Palmer.

Mr Palmer said consistent polling by the Palmer United Party in Tasmania contradicted the results released through the Liberal Party’s Victorian president Michael Kroger.

“The Tasmanian polling results being reported by the Liberals are just plain wrong,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“The Liberal Party would not release the real results from its polling at any time.

“Lambie’s vote in the Senate is designed to be used to stop her and others being elected.

“If the Liberal Party can convince Jacqui Lambie that she has nothing to worry about she is more likely to support proposals that would eliminate her colleagues,’’ Mr Palmer said.
