Joyce’s Dog Fight with Johnny Depp Making Australia Laughing Stock of the World

Federal Member for Fairfax

Instead of barking on about Johnny Depp’s dogs, Barnaby Joyce should be concentrating on the important issues of helping Australia’s battling farmers according to federal leader of the Palmer United Party and Member for Fairfax, Clive Palmer.

Mr Palmer said the Agriculture Minister was making Australia an international laughing stock with his campaign against the movie star’s pets Pistol and Boo.

“The simple solution would be to put the dogs into quarantine today, rather than threaten to kill them,’’ Mr Palmer said.

“This is nothing but an embarrassing act of grandstanding by Barnaby Joyce which will result in a bad reputation for Australia and hurt the struggling film industry on the Gold Coast.

“Barnaby should do something about drought relief rather than involve himself in this sideshow.

“His actions could potentially put the movie project in jeopardy and damage our relationship with the US, costing thousands of jobs and millions of dollars in exports,’’ Mr Palmer said.
