Palmer United Party leader and federal Member for Fairfax, Clive Palmer, today said the media frenzy around the Bronwyn Bishop affair is a distraction from the real issues facing ordinary Australians.
Mr Palmer said Australia’s domestic economy has ground to a halt and unemployment is causing havoc in Australian families.
“Our politicians seem to be happy to argue among themselves without addressing the main issuing facing our country,” Mr Palmer said.
“The winner of the next election will be the party who can provide leadership and programmes that will lift the living standards of all Australians.
“The Liberal Party just seeks to unfairly cut and the Labor Party just wants to borrow more.”
Mr Palmer said the Palmer United Party wants grow and stimulate the economy.
“Palmer United will produce policies that will make the economy bigger so there’s more for Australians to share,” he said.
“The problems we have in Australia today have been made by Australia and can be solved by Australians.”
